Welcome to East Tennessee Four Wheel Drive!
Our new club site host "Dockside Grill" in Loiusvile, TN has assisted in organizing an event there calling the "Off Road Cruise Inn". On Sunday March 24 join the various off road clubs in the area to share in stories and commradare while they the Dockside Grill invites us for Karaoke and great food and drinks.
Over this past winter in January several local clubs gathered together along with the guidance of the trail supervisor of Windrock "Ron Durant" to help open up access to a rock playground on a steep hillside in a less used area of Windrock OHV Park. This project quickly became know as the " Big Mountain Crawl Project". On that weekend on the 26th despite undesirable weather a slew of hands arrived ready to work and according to Ron " We got everything accomplished that I had hoped for. You guys know how to pull together and make things happen.". This trail is not for the timid, but will challenge those who dare it. I understadn there are a few bypasses but the best part is the trail is easily accebile by our trailer haulers so in the unfortunate circumstance you break you can extract from the woods very easily. Many THANKS to you Ron. Man we appreciate the support for our full size off road vehicles and just love your park. We're always to help support activities like this. I think Ron really appreciated it and in his own words " Thanks to Josh and the whole ET4WD group, All of you are a great bunch of people and that makes my job alot easier."
We have now completed the membership database for the ET4WD club members who have contributed to the sole obligation of our club and paid the annual dues for Southern Four Wheel Drive. I have discovered several members who I am seeking additional membership registration info and you will be contacted soon. For all those who have updated their registration again, we thank you as much as SF4WDA does and look forward to a year of progression together. Walter
