After meeting with Ron from Coal Creek, we started cutting into the new trail at around 11am from opposite directions. By 3pm that day we met together near the middle, and rode the new trail for the first time. The trees and rocks were not giving up easily though, and there were a few vehicle incidents. Next step is to to label our new trail. It will be called the "Cable Trail" because it runs almost the same path as the old winch cables from the coal mine operation. Only after we rode it for the first time did we feel it neccasary to title the rock garden section "The Rose Garden". You can ask Jeremy Rose what that's all about.
